Eelus

Eelus is a British contemporary artist whose practice emerged from London’s street-art scene in the early 2000s. Entirely self-taught, he works across paintings, screen prints, murals, paper cuts and sculpture, drawing on pop culture, cinema, graphic design and art history. His distinctive compositions often contrast monochrome figures with vivid bursts of colour, creating a tension between humour and melancholy, beauty and unease. Through recurring themes of identity, memory, escapism and emotional conflict, Eelus transforms familiar imagery into psychologically charged visual narratives. His work bridges the immediacy of street art with the precision and depth of contemporary studio practice.
