OSGEMEOS
The lowdown on OSGEMEOS
OSGEMEOS, meaning “the twins” in Portuguese, are Brazilian artists Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo, born in São Paulo in 1974. Emerging from the city’s hip-hop and graffiti culture, they began painting together in 1987 and developed a richly imaginative visual language shaped by Brazilian folklore, music, dreams and everyday urban life. Their distinctive yellow-skinned figures inhabit intricate worlds filled with pattern, architecture and surreal narrative. Working across murals, paintings, sculpture, installation and performance, OSGEMEOS transform personal memory and local culture into immersive environments. Their work has become internationally recognised while remaining deeply connected to the streets and creative energy of São Paulo.
