Melbourne has been known for its vibrant street art scene and has established itself as an international street art capital. The city’s latest creative venture unveiled its first official street art precinct in Mordialloc, transforming a long-forgotten industrial area into a hub of creativity and expression.
Melbourne’s first official street art precinct in Mordialloc was curated by Shaun Hossack of Juddy Roller, collaborating with Wall to Wall, Kingston Council, Kingston Arts, and Mordi Village Trader. The initiative aimed to transform neglected urban spaces into the vibrant Mordi Village Arts and Cultural Precinct, celebrating the transformative power of street art.
In April 2024, the Mordialloc street art precinct saw Australia’s top street artists, such as Smug, Adnate, Celeste Mountjoy (creator of Filthy Ratbag), and George Rose, along with acclaimed international artists Berlin-based Blo and French artist Zoer, adorn the area with their unique styles and perspectives. This breathed new life into Mordialloc’s industrial laneways, bringing in a new era of artistic innovation and cultural revival for the city.

In addition to the murals, the streets of Mordialloc came alive with a block party presented by Wall to Wall and Mordialloc’s newest culinary precinct, Urban Ground.
