Street artists JPS and Pzy collaborated on a fairy tale piece in Germany called ‘ The Snow White Project’ in Lohr am Main.
Lohr am Main is located in the Bavaria region of Germany. It is said to be that the real Snow White once lived in this town, her name Maria Sophia Margaretha Catharina von Erthal. She was born 15th of June of 1729 from noble heritage and lived in Lohr’s castle.
When she was twelve her father married again with Claudia Elisabeth Maria von Venningen, two years after of the death of Maria Sophia’s mother.
It was believed that the stepmother felt jealous of Maria because she was charitable, kind, and the ideal princess so their relationship was strained.
The stepmother had a “magic mirror” that was given to her by her husband in her wedding … Years after the Grimm Brothers developed the story to what we know now.
Street Artists JPS and PZY joined forces to paint the tale with aerosol and stencils.
The models for the mural were the towns Snow White model, and the children play the part of dwarves when they have the Snow White day.
The children are collecting fish from the Kaibach stream and cooking them over the fire for dinner.
Lohr am Main promotes itself as a snow white city, now with its very own street piece.
