Joachim’s London Solo Show ‘Born to Paint’ Private view, March 2018

GraffitiStreet opened the doors to Belgian street artist Joachim’s debut London solo show ‘Born to Paint’ on 1st March 2018 for a Private viewing. The unusual snowy evening saw over 150 of you brave the sub zero temperatures, creating a warm atmosphere within the gallery.

The first 25 queuing outside in the cold were awarded for their bravery and received a free funky pink hand-sprayed can, which Joachim styled to match the super impressive customised pink mini cooper, covered in his trade mark skulls.

The giveaways didn’t stop there as the first one hundred to attend the private preview also received a limited edition ‘Born to Paint’ screen-printed t-shirt!, and all who attended embraced the snowy weather with an ice cold beer sponsored by the premium Belgian Heverlee Beer.

The white snow outside complimented Joachim’s latest body of colourful works and the show lit up the Old Truman Brewery, Dray walk.

Inside the venue the pink mini dominated the entrance, whilst Colourful dotted umbrellas hung down amongst a showering of rainbow raindrops, mirroring the fun details in Joachim’s beautiful canvases.

“Every second of the day I’m creating art, even if I’m not painting … I dream about it! You could even say that other commitments, such as buying food or paying bills, things that other people find normal, slow me down… if it was up to me I would never eat again… art is what I was born to do!” JOACHIM

Following on from last year’s sell out solo show at Huberty & Breyne Gallery in Brussels, 2018 marks the start of a new chapter with his debut London solo show ‘Born To Paint‘ giving the people of London, and beyond, a special insight into Joachim’s latest body of work.
