Description
Bordalo II’s Neutral FX Panda is a striking piece from his iconic Trash Animals series, created entirely from discarded materials such as plastic toys, broken objects, and industrial waste.
This powerful sculpture addresses the environmental crisis of overproduction, plastic pollution, and their devastating effects on ecosystems and wildlife. A red rotary phone encircles the panda’s face and wraps around its right ear—a symbolic “wake-up call” urging immediate action on these global challenges.
Through the transformation of trash into art, Bordalo II forces us to confront the consequences of our consumption and reconsider our values. The panda stands as a poignant reminder of the urgency of sustainability and the need to protect endangered species, while highlighting the pressing environmental issues of our time.
