Renowned for his Interactive Neon Murals (INM#), Spidertag has pioneered a new role for the viewer, turning passive observation into active engagement. Since 2008, he has worked across urban and rural landscapes, exploring of geometry, abstraction, and minimalism, and combining these elements with a distinctive neon language he describes as “Futurism Primitivism”.
At the heart of Spidertag’s practice is a meticulous balance between precision craftsmanship and a restless spirit of experimentation. By merging traditional murals with site‑specific neon creations, he transforms walls, spaces, and surfaces into luminous environments. Through the interplay of neon light, lines, technology and architectural space, Spidertag creates an experience unlike any other, one that immerses, intrigues, and invites the viewer to become part of the work itself.

Collaborating closely with electricians and contractors, Spidertag meticulously brings his ideas to life — fastening flexible neon tubes and shaping luminous LED elements with an artist’s precision. The moment of truth arrives when the mural is switched on: a scene of colour, light, and energy that delivers a deep sense of joy and accomplishment.
Each piece is a living entity, a glowing fusion of symbol, line, and form. In Spidertag’s signature language of “Futuristic Primitivism”, ancient, elemental shapes are reimagined through the vibrancy of neon, bridging the ancestral and the contemporary to create a visual experience unlike any other.

Spidertag’s relentless pursuit of innovation has taken him across the globe, from the sunny streets of Pow! Wow! in Hawaii and Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas, to festivals and urban spaces throughout France, Norway, and beyond. Each mural he creates is a testament to his expansive artistic vision, drawing on a rich range of influences that span constructivism, kinetic art, video games, and cinema.
“The night is the natural time for graffiti, and in my case, it’s the natural time for neons.”
As night envelops the city, Spidertag dons his superhero persona, wearing special glasses to conceal his identity, in a playful yet purposeful act that adds mystery to his creative ritual. It’s in this nocturnal world of “Neonmetry” that Spidertag comes to life, illuminating the streets with glowing lines and symbols that feel both futuristic and deeply rooted. Here, urban art transforms into something more: a language of form, light, symbolism, geometry, and imagination that pulses with energy long after the sun has set.
