In May 2025, the façade of Barcelona’s Disseny Hub became the canvas for a powerful artistic collision—where classical sculpture met raw graffiti, and urban street art burst into life through light and motion. This was PichiAvo’s GraffMapping show, a centrepiece of the OFFF Festival 2025, and one of the most talked-about projection mapping spectacles of the year.

Art Reimagined: From Mural to Motion
PichiAvo, the Valencia-based street art duo known for blending ancient Greek and Roman iconography with explosive graffiti, took their trademark aesthetic to a new dimension. With the help of GraffMapping and Baillat Studio, their static visuals evolved into a kinetic dreamscape. Classical statues flickered, shifted, and crumbled into paint; vibrant graffiti tags twisted around the building’s architecture, forming and reforming like living organisms.

What was once wall art became light art, immersive, theatrical, and deeply moving.
The Performance
The digital installation unfolded across the iconic surface of the Disseny Hub in Barcelona’s Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes during the OFFF Festival’s three-day celebration of creativity. The projection was tightly choreographed with the building’s structure, turning walls into dimensional illusions. Each animated sequence was layered with textures, colour transitions, and optical plays that mimicked PichiAvo’s mural technique… but now in motion.
It wasn’t just a projection. It was a performance.

PichiAvo’s work has always challenged the lines between ancient and modern, gallery and street. With this live projection, they expanded their artistic language into new media, proving that graffiti is not confined to walls, it can evolve, move, and even breathe.
This installation marks a significant step in how contemporary urban art is perceived as a legitimate, adaptable, and technologically progressive force in modern culture.
The OFFF Festival has long been a launchpad for creative innovation, and this May 2025 performance will be remembered as a highlight. It wasn’t just a show… it was a statement. A vibrant, glowing, three-dimensional reminder that art is always evolving and always alive.
