Spidertag at Festival ÚS, Barcelona, 2016
Created for Festival ÚS in Barcelona in 2016, Spidertag explores light as a communicative force within the urban environment. Working directly onto the wall, the artist uses illuminated line to introduce rhythm, interruption, and continuity across the surface.
The composition unfolds as a fluctuating visual waveform, rising and collapsing in sharp geometric movements. Rather than imposing a figurative narrative, the work operates as a signal, echoing systems of sound, data, and transmission. The mural interacts with the surrounding architecture and skyline, extending the line beyond the wall into the city’s visual field.
Executed at night, the mural temporarily redefined the site’s atmosphere, drawing attention to an otherwise overlooked space. Viewers encounter the work not as a static image, but as an active presence, one that shifts perception through contrast, scale, and illumination.

This piece reflects Spidertag’s growing interest in geometry as energy and light as a spatial tool, anticipating later developments in neon-based murals and interactive installations.
