British street art duo SNIK, celebrated for their emotionally charged, hand-cut stencil work, have unveiled their ambitious mural titled Flourish, a 12-metre-high mural created for the Street Art Fest in the Grenoble Alps in France, celebrating 11 seasons under the theme of Resilience. .
At once technically complex and conceptually rich, Flourish continues SNIK’s exploration of portraiture and nature.

Executed entirely through layers of precision-cut stencils, the work was constructed over several days, each phase of painting gradually revealing the final image. From a distance, Flourish resolves into an ethereal figure bathed in light surrounded by natural forms. Up close, the illusion dissolves into a textured matrix of cuts, overspray, and fragmentary colour, inviting the viewer to consider how the mural came to be.

Rooted in the visual language of Renaissance portraiture, the subject transcends mere representation. She becomes emblematic of inner strength, renewal, and the quiet act of growth in unlikely places.
