ANTHONY BURRILL COLLABORATES WITH BUILDHOLLYWOOD TO SHARE A MESSAGE OF PATIENCE, HOPE AND POSITIVITY, 2022

Renowned artist Anthony Burrill has collaborated withThe BUILDHOLLYWOOD family of Jack, Jack arts and Diabolical for their latest Your Space Or Mine project, which gives emerging artists and creatives a platform on the street. The collaboration will display Burrill’s work on billboards across the UK.

Burrill is a celebrated artist, printmaker and designer, known in the design world for his persuasive use of language and bold typography. His work combines a knack for simplicity that packs a punch with analogue craft skills and powerful, positive messages. Words, gentle humour, no-nonsense communication and people are at the heart of Burrill’s practice and his distinctive brand of upbeat messaging: its core DNA is one created through a longstanding passion for creativity without limitations.

“It’s great to start 2022 on a hopeful note collaborating with BUILDHOLLYWOOD. I love seeing my work on the street being noticed by people as part of their day. I hope my street poster provides a moment of reflection and plants a positive thought. Those small ideas that we can all too readily dismiss can sometimes lead to huge leaps.” Anthony Burrill

This Your Space Or Mine collaboration will afford plenty of opportunities for connecting both with the vibrantly striking design and the encouraging, uplifting sentiment it conveys. ‘Every Idea Is A Useful Idea’ appears in Burrill’s publication Work Hard And Be Nice To People, a book of inspirational aphorisms and practical advice.

“Work on as many ideas as you can. Even the weak ones will act as a springboard into a new way of thinking. Don’t edit yourself, let the ideas flow out. Use ideas as a pathway, let them act as signal markers on your path to a great idea.” Anthony Burrill

The uplifting message will feature on billboards in London, Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow and Edinburgh. As a poster on the streets of the UK, the work is an invocation to be persistent, to overcome obstacles and self-doubt.
