NYC graffiti legend Part One | Book Signing at Chrome & Black, London

New York City graffiti artist and legend PART ONE will be joining London’s leading aerosol art supply shop Chrome & Black in Bethnal Green on Thursday 9th June 2016 for a unique book signing of his latest biography.

PART ONE (Enrique Torres) has the reputation of being one of the early graffiti style writing pioneers that created some of the most brilliant art works on New York City’s subway trains. He is a veteran of the golden years of New York City subway painting and considered a style master in the graffiti world specialising in his own brand of lettering which he started to develop in 1974. From 1974 – 1985 he was one of the most accomplished artists on the New York City subway trains. In 1990 he was seen as a leading figure in the re-emergence of wild style pieces in murals in Harlem. His art has been featured in the classic film Style Wars as well as the critically acclaimed book, Martha Cooper’s Hip Hop Files.

His biography, “Part One – The Death Squad”, chronicles his art spanning more than 30 years and will be signing copies at Chrome & Black store, Bethnal Green East London.

It’s a free event with supporting DJ’s from Kiss FM and Itch FM and free drinks will be provided, mix this with the friendly crew at Chrome & Black and this event will be a packed!
