Rustam Qbic Teaches us the Importance of Nurture, UPEA Street Art Festival, Finland 2017

The second annual, multi-city Street Art Festival UPEA has begun in Finland. UPEA17 has invited local and international artists, such as Guido van Helten, Fintan Magee, Apolo Torres & Pat Perry, Rustam Qbic, Jani Leinonen, Andrea Wan, Artez, Dulk, Eero Lampinen, Messy Desk,  Millo, Onur,  Ricky Lee Gordon, Roberto Ciredz, Smug, Telmo Miel, Vesod, Wasp Elder and many more … to paint twenty large scale murals in thirteen different Finnish cities …

Rustam Qbic was invited to paint a school in Sipoo, North School 1, and was offered the whole circle of the building to paint!

Rustam painted his imaginative fairy tale characters and harmonious landscape.

Rustam wanted to raise the themes of nurture; caring, growing and learning. He represented this with children amongst the flowers, like plants need water to grow.

He also included an older teacher reading to the children, nurturing them and educating them for adulthood.

This is another beautiful mural by Rustam and the school welcomed the new mural and the lessons he teaches us all.
