Street Artist INO kicks off BLOOP Street Art Festival, Ibiza, 2016

BLOOP 5th Street Art Festival, an avant-garde art project by BiokipLabs, will officially be taking place from 16th July to 16th August in Sant Antoni and Ibiza Town.

This celebration of People and Arts is completely free for everybody, showcasing fine arts to new arts such as graffiti, video mappings, cutting edge music, paintings, sculptures, workshops, interactive installations and many more. Under the ethos “ART IS FOR EVERYBODY”, this Festival is a month-long event dedicated to people and art. The festival’s goal is to communicate a message of NO FEAR to everybody.

Participating artists include: Digital Genetic Pasta (Italy/Spain), Dominio (Italy/Spain), Escuela Moderna/ Ateneo Liberitario (EU), Gosia Wlodarczak (Poland/Australia), INO (Greece), Interesni Kazki (Ukraine), José Padilla (Spain), Lo Spino (Italy), Pablo Pelluz (Spain), Pelucas (Spain), Pineapple Crocodile (EU), Rebeca Sanchez (Spain), Silva Ramacci (Italy), Stefano Terranova (Italy/UK), The Collective (EU), Tranz Lasagne (Spain), Tom Gallant (UK), Tomás Laurenzo (Uruguay) and many more.

INO (Greece) has just kicked off the festival and completed his interpretation of No Fear. The first mural is of two hands, a big one that commands and small one that has NO FEAR and resists.

The second wall “In Search of Sunrise” is a white pigeon, an homage to refugees who have NO FEAR undertaking life threatening journeys to Greece in search of freedom.

Check out the work in progress video below…

The mural is part of the OpenAir Gallery. A long-term project to convert an entire island into a gallery open to everybody all year-long, there are currently twenty large scaled mural paintings in Sant Antoni and also expanding to Ibiza city.

Check back at a later date for more murals from the Bloop Street Art Festival 2016!!
