Banksy’s Christmas Messages “Peace on Earth” and “Cherubs”, Bethlehem, Palestine 2017

The elusive Banksy has paid another visit to Palestine leaving his festive messages close to the “Walled Off Hotel” in Bethlehem.

The unveiling of his first piece shows a stencil of two cherubs attempting to break through the West Bank separation barrier with the use of a crowbar. The placement is perfect as you can see the sky through the slight gap in the separation wall to the other side.

The second piece can be found in front of the Church in Bethlehem. It reads “Peace on Earth“( a phrase used for the concept of world peace) with a Banksy twist…

The ‘Star of Bethlehem’ aka ‘Christmas Star’ acts as an asterisk. Written underneath his message is a footnote that reads “Terms and conditions apply“.

“The Alternativity”, an alternative Nativity play directed by Riham Issac and Danny Boyle also opens today, Sunday 3rd December, at 5pm in the Walled Off Hotel car park.

Check back later for an update on a festival spectacular in Bethlehem.
