What else is there to do on International Woman’s Day, on 8th March 2015, other than to head down to Leake Street graffiti tunnel, London Waterloo and visit the Femme Fierce Festival.
Femme Fierce is the UKs largest all female street art festival and was launched last year by Ayaan Binksy. It was a pretty intense affair with over one hundred female street artists/graffiti writers painting the whole of Leake Street graffiti tunnel. They even got themselves a Guinness World Record for the largest mural painted by a team! Impressive stuff!
This year’s event is going to be bigger and better with over one hundred and fifty female artists invited for another epic paint jam. From large murals and seminars to doodling walls for the public, this event will have it all covered. There will even be a chance to get spraying yourselves with the help of the street artists on the day. However, this great day can only happen if enough money can be raised to support the event costs.
Help Femme Fierce create the largest gathering of female street artists painting together at the Banksy Tunnel in Waterloo, London by contributing here. There are great rewards you can purchase, from an unique t-shirt to an original canvas of your choice by the talented Zabou! But be quick … time is running out!
Femme Fierce is also raising money and much needed awareness for Plan UK Because I Am A Girl Campaign.
So get yourself down to the Leake Street ‘Banksy Tunnel’ on Sunday 8th March 2015 for International Woman’s Day and GraffitiStreet will see you there!
We just love girl power!
