Invader Returns to Hong Kong for another Invasion, 2017

Space Invader is the pseudonym of a well-known French urban artist whose work is modelled on the crude pixellation of 1970s-1980s 8-bit video games. His distinctive 3,564 creations can be seen in 74 cities in more than 30 countries, check out the map!

Invader has currently been invading Hong Kong, and has left 32 new mosaic creations on the streets, making this his seventh invasion wave to the country.

The total of Hong Kong mosaic invasions now amounts to 132 following his latest invasion wave.

If you find all Hong Kong’s 132 mosaics, via the smartphone app ‘Flash Invaders’, you could be earning yourself a whooping 4,800 points!

“I’m just back from Hong Kong where I have completed the 7th “invasion wave” with 32 new pieces in the city. A big thanx to Hong Kong and a special one to Harbour City who have announced they would preserve all the space invaders I have installed on their walls.” Invader
