Street Artists help STOP Child Labour and Trafficking through Billboard Art, New York City 2021

Millions of children are trapped in child labour and trafficking. What if Art could help YOU understand the issue and take action?

To kick-off, the International Year for the Elimination of Child Labour, join the #FreeChildren campaign curated by Street Art for Mankind! With visuals, made by prominent street artists, spread out on 100 billboards in New York City and online, you can get inspired, but also make a difference.

Artists invited are Ador (Fra), Adry del Rocio (Mex), Cristian Blanxer (Esp), JDL (Nld), Loic Ercolessi (Fra), Lula Goce (Esp), Mister Thoms (Ita), PichiAvo (Esp) and Victor Ash (Dnk).

All visuals are activated by the Free AR app “Behind the Wall” enabling you, with a simple scan of the image, to get the facts, to hear recognized experts explain the issues, street artists share their inspirations, and ultimately get the tools to take action.

Experts invited are Mira Sorvino (Actress and Activist), Ashley Judd (Actress and Activist), Guy Ryder (Director-General of the ILO, the United Nations labour agency), Kailash Satyarthi (Nobel Peace Prize Laureate), Nicholas Kristof (two-time Pulitzer Prize Winner and journalist), Nicolas de Rivière (French Ambassador to the UN / Alliance 8.7), María del Carmen Squeff (Argentinian Ambassador to the UN / Alliance 8.7), Cecile Noel (NYC Mayor’s Office Commissioner to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence ), and Siddharth Kara (author, activist and adjunct lecturer at the Harvard Kennedy School).
