The Vision Art Festival is Getting Ready for their Fourth Edition! Crans-Montana Ski Resort, Switzerland 2018

The Vision Art Festival is getting ready for their upcoming fourth edition! We cant wait to see more street art murals set in the beautiful setting of the Valais Alps. With its spectacular circular view, coiled up on a mountainous plateau overlooking the Rhone valley and the Valais Alps, the renowned Swiss resort of Crans-Montana will once again take urban art to a whole new level, from 17th to 26th August 2018.

The legendary peaks of the Alps. The view. The panorama. The mountains. The sun. The resort. The walls. We have it all ! We Take Urban Art To New Heights ! We are not the average place to paint. We are one of the best spots off beaten paths. We are Vision Art Festival.

This festival is a one-of-a-kind encounter between nature and art in the amazing setting of the Valais Alps. The Vision Art Festival have created the only open-air museum in the mountains, spread over an incredible surface located between 1.500 and 3.000m above sea level.

It all began with the crazy idea of Gregory Pages, founder and curator of the Vision Art Festival: Why not ask artists to express themselves on the grey concrete surfaces of cable car stations, parking lots and other empty walls?

Created in 2015, Vision Art Festival has seen three rad editions and the creation of more than fifty murals by more than forty international artists from all over the world.

Edition 2018 will take place from August 17 to 26 and the following artists have been invited:

TOM BOB (USA), MANTRA (FRANCE), OBED OSORIO (EL SALVADOR), JULIEN NONNON (FRANCE)
JOSHUA KEEN VALENCIA (USA), SERVAL (SWITZERLAND), YGREK (SWITZERLAND) and JASM ONE (SWITZERLAND/TUNISIA)

For this edition, French artist Julien Nonnon will add his medium, Mapping, to the wall painting. Autorisation should be delivered soon and Nonnon will project his work on the dam which can be seen from a great distance.

Check out some of the murals from the last three years below and see for yourselves why The Vision Art Festival has just been nominated by Highsnobiety as one of the best graffiti places off beaten paths!
