Joachim’s love for Antwerp City Park, a place of serene beauty, motivated him to make his latest painting titled ‘Walk in the Park’ in the Spring of 2019.

Antwerp city park is a green haven, offering a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Joachim often frequents the park, walking along its winding paths and relishing in its vibrant energy. He enjoys observing the numerous birds that inhabit the park and the people who stroll by, their faces filled with contentment.

These experiences inspired Joachim to capture the park’s essence through his art. After spending hours in the park, he headed straight to his studio, eager to translate his inspiration onto canvas. Joachim created a stunning painting that beautifully conveyed the park’s tranquillity and vibrancy.

In contrast to the park’s serene beauty, Joachim decided to paint himself smoking while walking. He wanted to create a juxtaposition between the peaceful surroundings and the act of smoking, which is often associated with stress and anxiety. However, walking in the park dissolves such feelings.
