Ricardo Romero

Ricardo Romero (b. 1981, Évora) is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist based in Leiria, Portugal. Known as “Ship” since 1994, he explores mural painting’s expressive and conceptual depth. His practice spans painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation, merging poetic and urban aesthetics. Creator of “Romerography,” he fuses gesture and absence into meditative visual poems. Also a curator and cultural producer, Romero directs galleries, public art projects, and festivals across Portugal, blending art, community, and poetic spatial experience.
